Shaan Groverr was born in Delhi, India. After completing his schooling, he shifted to Mumbai to pursue his degree in economics from Jai Hind College. Shaan Groverr had always wanted to become an actor, ever since he starred in a rendition of the play,’ Mowgli’ at the age of 5, which was directed by Lushin Dubey. Groverr started his career in the Bollywood industry as an Assistant Director for the film, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, which was directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao in 2015. He then trained as an actor under Shanoo Sharma at YRF casting studio. He went on to play the lead in two short films in 2016, in 'Ilunga' and 'Muqaddar', which were screened at the Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival and Delhi Shorts International Film Festival respectively. In 2017, he starred in ‘PM Selfie Wallie’, a web series directed by Aashima Chhiber, on Ekta Kapoor's video-on-demand platform, ALT Balaji.
