Storyline

In the show, Mirzapur, Divyendu Sharma plays the role of Munna, who is the son and heir of a powerful figure but lacks the capability to rule justly. At a wedding procession, he comes face-to-face with a respected lawyer in Mirzapur, namely Ramakant Pandit, along with his sons, Guddu and Bablu. This event sets off a power struggle for land ownership and control in the lawless city, fuelled by money and greed.

Season 1

Mirzapur is a web series that tells the story of Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as Kaleen Bhaiya, who is the king of the underworld in Mirzapur. His business of drugs and arms is covered under the disguise of a carpet manufacturing company. Kaleen's son Munna Bhaiya, known as the prince of Mirzapur, accidentally kills a groom during a wedding celebration. The groom's family hires Ramakant Pandit, an idealist lawyer, to fight their case. Ramakant's sons, Guddu, Bablu, and his daughter, Dimpy, are students at the same college as Munna, and Guddu has a crush on Sweety, the friend of Dimpy. Despite Munna's threats, Ramakant refuses to reject the case, leading to a scuffle, which Ramakant and his family win. Kaleen offers the brothers a job, which they agree to after much pondering. The series is centered around the family of Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna, Guddu, Bablu, and their various dealings in Mirzapur. Violence in the city increases, leading to the arrival of SSP Maurya, who tries to control the situation. The show explores themes such as rivalry, betrayal, power, and the desire for revenge.

Golu wins the election and the family attends a wedding. Sweety reveals she is pregnant and Guddu shows side effects from steroids. Munna discovers Golu is away, and at the wedding, he kills the groom, Sweety, and Bablu. Tripathi's father blackmails Beena and instructs her to cut off Raja's penis. Guddu instructs Golu on how to use a gun, and they escape from the wedding. Munna prepares to fight back, Beena searches for a gun, and Sharad remembers his father's ambition for Mirzapur. The season ends on a cliffhanger.

Season 2

The story is about a power struggle between various criminal factions in the city of Mirzapur. Guddu and Golu are two brothers who are trying to gain power and avenge the deaths of their family members. They battle against the Tripathi family, led by Kaleen Bhaiya and his son Munna. The story involves various subplots such as the wedding massacre, the opium distribution, the rivalry with the Tyagi family, and the personal lives of the characters. The story ends with Guddu and Golu planning to attack the Tripathi family while they are away at an election rally.

Guddu and Golu destroy Tripathi's gun factory, and Kaleen Bhaiya turns it into a selling point for the CM's crime-free UP campaign. Mona marries Madhuri, but tells her he does not want her on their wedding night. The CM dies in an accident, and JP becomes the new CM-elect. Beena gives birth to a boy and kills Bauji. Munna shoots Babar and kills Maqbool's mother, leading to revenge on Maqbool. Kaleen and Munna got attacked by Guddu and Golu at the cremation ground while Sharad watches. In the end, Guddu sits on the throne of Mirzapur.
